Global Awareness
Scours the media, including Rotary International news sources, and brings topical highlights to the attention of Club members.
Global Grants Administration
Promotes a continuous social and service relationship with international Rotarians to provide community service for mutual benefit; works with Clubs in other countries on joint humanitarian projects.
Promotes applications, screens and recommends university and graduate-level scholars to represent our District in study at foreign universities. Also liases with foreign Rotary Scholars and Former Scholars in the Austin area.
Group Youth Exchange
Encourages and selects high school students to participate in short-term exchange programs in a foreign country, and coordinates a reciprocal hosting of foreign exchange students.
Assists in vetting Rotary Peace Scholar applicants. Rotary World Peace Scholars are chosen to study peace and conflict resolution curricula at the Master’s Degree level in one of seven Rotary Centers for International Studies.
